Coastal PNW Beach Engagement Session

Deception Pass Proposal

Deception Pass Proposal and Engagement Session

A week before Sam brought Kayla to this very spot, we met up to scout out the area for his Deception Pass proposal.  Sam wanted everything to be perfect, and every detail to be just right. The week before it was typical Pacific Northwest Spring weather, rainy and damp. I warned Ben that the following week could be the same thing, and to be prepared for cold and wet.  Sure enough while we were checking out spots the rain really started to come down. We settled on a plan and a spot for his marriage proposal to Kayla. There is a big look out bluff at Rosario Beach. It was far enough that I wouldn’t look suspicious with all my camera gear, and close enough I could capture the moment.

Pop the Question

Spring weather is so unpredictable and early in the morning I still was not sure we would have good weather. But as luck would have it blue skies emerged . Sam guided Kayla, a full blown city girl up this big rock. They were surrounded by the vast blue sky.

Sam turned to Kayla and I knew he was full of butterflies.  Slowly he dipped down on one knee and just like a storybook romance asked Kayla to be his wife. Rosario Beach Marriage Proposal

The wind twirled around her dress at the right time.
